Abudelauri lakes, Roshka, Chaukhi mountain, Juta village
Extreme, amazing places in Georgia and probably the most challenging tour from my tours, but most exciting who love mountains. Who loves to raise to the sky through dangerous rocky trails. We will visit Roshka village, which is located at elevation of 2200m. Picturesque place surrounded by alpine meadows and ice covered mountains. Our mission will be to cross Rocky mount Chaukhi at elevation 3300m.
Roshka can be listed within highest villages of Georgia. Here one branch of Aragvi river begins from rocky mountain Chaukhi, It's the place where thousands of travelers come to see colorful Abudelauri lakes: two blue, one green and another one white. And not only lakes, famous rocky Chaukhi mountain range with the highest peak 3800m lays in 6km from Roshka.
Travelers now have chance to take newly made road to Arkhoti gorge on foot or go there by car.
Mountain is inaccessible until the end of May or beginning of June. Chaukhi and Abudelauri lakes you can reach on foot or by horse from village Roshka, distance approx 6km.
On the other side of the scenic route is village Juta, the only village within Kazbegi region, settled by Khevsurs and locals claim that Juta is highest village of Georgia 2200m, ok there is another village in Tusheti, village Bochorna at the height of 2345m where only one man lives, but still village.
