Ananuri Fortress & Mtskheta town

Ancient town Mtskheta was the capital of Kartli kingdom untill capital was moved by descendants of famous King Vakhtang Gorgasali. It's more than 2500 years old. Mtskheta is treated like holly town, like second Jerusalem as the Christianity was spread from this place to other parts of Georgia. Oldest churches and most beautiful Cathedral Svetitskhoveli are situated here. We will talk about the history of Christianity of Georgia, discuss reality and legends about this religion and also touch many cultural aspects of the history of Georgia..

Next we will Visit 16th century Ananuri complex, Which was residence of cruel dukes of Aragvi. I will tell you stories about their raise and end. At the fortress every stone is a witness of bloodshed and battles, horror of it's owners and their defeat.
